Oakley downtown traffic jam cost the taxpayers $5,495,388.93. The downtown project that realigned traffic from Norcross Ave to 5th Street in 2017/2018 cost the City of Oakley $5,495,388.93. As we are aware, the traffic’s realignment has created an ongoing bottleneck downtown that slows traffic for blocks. The only way to have the Oakley government spend taxpayer funds prudently is to put three new councilmembers on the Council dais on November 3rd.
