The East Cypress Avenue corridors, which runs from Main Street to Summer Lake, has a considerable amount of open land on either side of the road. Residential development will continue to move east from Main Street. I imagine residential construction will begin to move west from Summer Lake.
My thoughts are the location is ideal for businesses’ development to serve Oakley residents and the surrounding area. The site becomes ideal when one considers that Laurel Road will eventually extend to Summer Lake from Sellers Avenue. An Oakley Planning Commission would have the ability to provide citizen directed community development, serving both the economic and residential development needs of all Oakley’s citizens.
The only way to ensure such a Planning Commission is to elect three new councilmembers to the Oakley City Council on November 3rd. I ask for your vote to join that team.
