Oakley City Council will be considering Laurel Plaza, again, this Tuesday, 6:30 PM, at City Hall. The question is, “should McDonald’s be allowed a car drive thru across from Laurel Elementary School?” My position is the same as the Superintendent of the Oakley Union Elementary School District (OUESD), Jeff Palmquist, no, absolutely not!! It is a horrific danger for the students at Laurel Elementary School.
Now is the time to have your voice heard by contacting Oakley City Council members, either in writing, or attending the meeting and providing input from the podium.
