Beware of the fine print. During tonight’s Oakley City Council meeting, the City Attorney will inform the council of the proposals from executive search firms. The firm selected will search for the new Oakley City Manager. There are those on the council who believe the Mayor and Vice Mayor review the proposals and select the one they like for council approval. I’m afraid I have to disagree. The entire council should review all proposals and discuss the matter among themselves as a group. The item is in small print at the bottom of the agenda. Hopefully, people will see it and voice their thoughts concerning the selection process for the search firm.
