The executive search firm item for the new Oakley City Manager is on the agenda for May 11th. The Council decides if an announcement for Request for Proposals (RFP) from firms to search will occur. The community needs to continue to contact City Council members to ensure that an outside professional firm completes the open search process for the new executive in our City. The decision to hire a search firm is far from final. Following the approval to send out an RFP, the Council needs to approve the hiring and funding. During this process, members of the Council could derail the process by not supporting the RFP, selecting a firm to complete the search, or fund the search.
Reach out to the City Council members and let them know we need a professional search for a new City Manager in Oakley. The Oakley residents require recognition. Oakley does not need an Indio situation where denial of the Indio public voice in selecting Bryan Montgomery as the new Indio City Manager occurred.
