Yes, it is time again to formulate a strategic plan for Oakley. The council will undertake the endeavor on April 19th, at 5:00 p.m. Yes, it will be a public event, and all are encouraged to attend The meeting will most likely be virtual. I am asking for people to give all councilmembers feedback about the direction they would like to see the City move forward. In the interim, I will post my thoughts during the time remaining as to what I might suggest. Please, do feel free to reply, either on Nextdoor.com or at my email at fuller@ci.oakley.ca.us.
My initial thought is to have a consultant in place who can accurately measure the community’s needs during this challenging period and how we might disperse the America Rescue Plan (ARP) money the City is to receive. Best way to allocate the eight million dollars the City will be accepting.
